
Make Prawn Biryani in dwelling
Prawn Biryani, specialty of Kerala is rarely available in restaurants as very few people know about this recipe. Ingredients:
Bay leaf - 2 nos.
Coconut milk - 50 mls.
Prawns (shelled) - 600 gms.
Rice (Basmati) - 300 gms.
Green chilli - 2 nos.
Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp.
Sliced onion - ¼ cup
Lemon juice - 1 tsp.
Fresh grated coconut - 1 tbsp.
Ghee/Oil - 2 tbsps.
Whole garam masala - 1 tsp.
Turmeric powder - ½ tsp.
Salt as per taste
Now here is the process to make this dish:
First take, wash and soak the rice for at least 20 minutes and then drain it after that wash the prawns, Devein and shell. Then heat the ghee or oil in thick bottomed pan and add leaves along with whole garam masala after that leave it for crackle. Add sliced onion and sauté till the onion turns pink after which adds the water, green chilies, lemon juice, turmeric powder and silt it in two pieces. Boil it and after that mix the rice in that. Cook it for a minute and then add prawns and coconut milk along with salt. After all this stir it lightly till the rice absorbs all water and once it happens then cover it with lid and cook it on low fire till the rice and prawn are fully cooked.
